Deliver Driver/Brewery Assistant Job Description

Rip Current Brewing Company in San Marcos, CA is currently seeking a motivated, hard working individual to join our team as a delivery driver and brewery assistant. The position is full-time Monday-Friday (with rare weekend events). This is an excellent opportunity to get into an entry-level brewery position and learn all facets of beer production!

Responsibilities:

● Deliver kegs and cans to accounts and our satellite Tasting Rooms using company delivery vehicle
● Assist in brewery and cellar tasks on a regular basis including cellar work, packaging, etc
● Pickup/Deliver items to events, shipping partners, suppliers, etc
● Stock cold rooms weekly
● Maintain inventory and delivery records
● Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and warehouse environment

Qualifications:

● Must be 21+
● Must have a clean driving record
● Forklift certification a plus
● Mechanical aptitude a plus
● Must have a strong work ethic
● Must be organized
● This job requires the ability to lift and move 55 pounds at a time, lift and move 165 pounds (a keg) using the appropriate tools and techniques, and work in a warehouse environment consisting of loud noises and hot and humid environments for long periods of time

We Are Hiring in North Park!

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our team as the Tasting Room Lead at our North Park location!

Job Description:

The Tasting Room lead is responsible for ensuring guests receive high quality customer service and an excellent Tasting Room experience. The position starts as part-time, and may lead to full-time for the right candidate. We are seeking an individual who will facilitate and maintain scheduling for the bartending staff and shift changes. The Tasting Room Lead must be willing to cover shifts as needed, in addition to their regular bartending schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional service and perform in a professional manner at all times
  • Be fluent and efficient with our Square POS system
  • Be responsible for cash handling, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Anticipate/be proactive in ensuring guests service needs are met
  • Maintain staff schedule and communicate any shift changes to bartending staff
  • Staff shifts as directed by management, and cover shifts as needed
  • Maintain our quality standards at all times, ensure bartending staff are meeting our quality standards
  • Maintain clean work areas and follow daily side work and deep cleaning as needed
  • Sell and stock merchandise and to-go beer including growlers
  • Maintain “beer clean” glassware
  • Change empty kegs and CO2 tanks as needed
  • Ensure North Park staff is adhering to all applicable laws and regulations regarding the service of alcohol
  • Additional tasks as given by the Tasting Room Manager

Desired Skills

  • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of application
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background check
  • LEAD Certification required
  • Minimum 1 year Craft beer industry experience required
  • 2 years Craft beer industry experience preferred
  • Prior cash handling and customer service experience required
  • Cicerone Beer Server preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment while still maintaining professionalism and poise
  • Able to work independently as well as with a team
  • Able to deal with intoxicated guests in a safe manner
  • Excellent personal skills and an outgoing personality
  • Ability to guide bartending staff in a professional manner
  • Love for craft beer is a must!

Physical and Mental Requirements

  • Able to stand, walk, and be on your feet for 5+ hours at a time
  • Able to regularly twist, turn, kneel, climb, stoop, bend, crawl, lift, and carry equipment weighing up to 55 pounds
  • Able to work around noisy/wet environments
  • Able to comply with and enforce all health, safety, and personal hygiene policies and standards
